Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and cook a variety of meals according to dietary requirements and preferences.
• Plan menus in collaboration with the dietary team to ensure balanced and appealing meals.
• Manage kitchen operations, including ordering supplies, inventory control, and maintaining cleanliness.
• Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations.
• Assist in training and supervising kitchen staff to maintain high standards of food preparation.
• Adapt menus and meals based on seasonal ingredients and residents' feedback.
Requirements:
• Proven experience as a Cook in a similar setting, preferably in aged care or healthcare.
• Formal culinary qualifications or equivalent experience.
• Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
• Ability to manage kitchen operations efficiently and work under pressure.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
