environments, where safety and short timelines are paramount. Knowing that many
of today's buildings or facilities don't have the ability to close for major repairs and
are required to function with no other option. National RoofCare can design, install,
and recertify existing height safety systems, all to Australian Standards and
WorkSafe requirements. National RoofCare provides services to commercial,
council, and public entities.

Full Time Estimating Engineer
Salary - $75,000 to $90,000 + SUPERANNUATION

DUTIES
• To study the contract drawings and assist in producing all the required shop drawings. To provide approved shop drawing and information to site team and ensure work activities as per the approved shop drawings.
• To read and understand drawings for estimate and for ongoing works to prepare work method statements, Risk assessment plan, Project plan, Cost variation reports, Additional work quantification and to submit Progress Claims.
• Collaborating with engineers, architects etc. to determine the specifications of the project.
• Determining construction methods, materials and quality standards, and drafting and interpreting specifications, drawings, plans, construction methods and procedures.
• Responsible for preparing and assembling bids and proposals for various contract types.
• Preparing tenders and contract bids & Ensuring adherence to building legislation and standards of performance, quality, cost and safety
• Organising and directing site labour and the delivery of construction materials, plant and equipment, and establishing detailed programs for the coordination of site activities
• Studying architectural and engineering drawings and specifications to estimate total costs, and preparing detailed cost plans and estimates as tools to assist in budgetary control
• Monitoring changes to designs, assessing effects on cost, and measuring, valuing and negotiating variations to designs
• Obtaining permits and licenses from appropriate authorities
• Responsible for the full site supervision for implementation of work as per client requirement as per the approved shop drawings and Contract specification.
• To prepare the schedules of equipment machine, labour and materials needed for the project.
• To monitor cost of all equipment on hire with cost budget.
• To prepare detail Program for works with detail cost estimate to monitor and track Cost and schedule variances.
• Responsible for ensuring that entire quality assurance, quality control and inspection programs are in place before handing over site.
• Proffer suggestions to the Chief Estimator or appropriate authority for contemplated expenditures.
• Evaluate progress and prepare detailed reports.
• Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards and report issues.



REQUIRED SKILLS

Minimum bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
Minimum master’s degree in construction and infrastructure management (Beneficial)
Minimum two years’ experience relevant to the role
Working At Heights License

Asbestos Awareness Training
Silica dust awareness training
Working with Vulnerable people
