Role Responsibilities:
- Providing direction, support and advice efficiently and effectively in all areas of Human Resources (HR) including but not limited to the areas of recruitment and selection, learning and development, performance management and reviews, grievances and dispute resolution, and change management, consistent with legislation, JBS approved policies, organisational directives and work instructions;
- Maintaining relevant Human Resources records, information, and databases to ensure accuracy and availability of information where required;
- Assisting in the coordination of all aspects of the employee lifecycle including the end-to-end recruitment process, induction and termination;
- Providing in-house training and workshops to assist others in understanding HR requirements where appropriate;
- Positively fostering and promoting a performance based and collaborative culture;
- Develop (where required) and maintain the published works of the Site Human Resources Department, including forms, checklists, and PLS guide;
- Collation and provision of materials and records for external and internal audits, participating as directed in the audit process;
- Develop and maintain site-specific employee reward programs in line with business goals and objectives.
- Provide practical guidance and assistance to newly arrived International workers, introducing them to Australian Institutions and Government Services essential to community integration;
- Conduct Plant Tours and Walk-throughs as required;
- Develop and load job adverts to the HRIS;
- Provide HR support and advice to Management in discharging their HR responsibilities;
- Arrange Interviews, Medicals, and Screenings as required;
- Preparation of Reports, Contracts of Employment, variations of employment, presentations and correspondences;
- Any other duties as directed by the Human Resources Manager within known skills, knowledge and capabilities.
Skills/Competencies:
- Tertiary qualification relevant to Human Resources or relevant and extensive experience;
- Familiarity with the structure of Modern Awards, with the ability to locate concise and accurate information within;
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple competing priorities;
- Effective problem-solving, organisational and time management skills;
- Well-developed oral and written interpersonal communication skills;
- Current and Unencumbered Class C Drivers Licence;
- Developed computer literacy with Human Resources Information Systems;
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and within a team environment;
- Takes other's perspectives into consideration;
- Must be energetic, passionate and enthusiastic with a demonstrated focus on system improvement;
- Makes self fully available as required.
Desirable:
- Certificate IV Training and Assessment.
- Current Mental Health First Aid Certificate.
- Current First Aid Certificate
- Current CPR Component
- Previous Human Resources or Management experience within a Meat Processing Environment.
- A Current Justice of Peace for South Australia.
