The Role

We are looking for a highly skilled Engineering Technologist with strong experience to join our growing team and contribute to the development that empowers our organization to deliver exceptional customer experience. Essential skills & Experience:

· Strong skills in analysing network traces and logs to identify defects and resolve issues. Experience in defect management and reporting.
· Ability to report faults accurately and provide effective support to designers during troubleshooting.
· Proficient in using various test tools such as HP Quality Centre, Citrix, NetScout and various provisioning systems for thorough testing and analysis
· Evaluate several functionalities, such as call quality, messaging, data services (4G/5G), Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and other essential aspects.
· Compatibility with various network protocols (LTE, 3G, 4G, and 5G) should be tested across many providers and testing of mobile devices (Samsung, iPhone, OPPO, Motorola and CPE Devices), including hardware and software components for compatibility.
· Perform network compatibility testing to ensure that mobile devices work properly across several service providers and geographies.
· Create and implement specific test cases and scenarios for handset evaluation, ensuring that all functions are evaluated.
· Identify flaws or problems with device functionality, performance and usability.
· Log, track, and report issues or defects using defect-tracking platforms such as Jira, Bugzilla, or in-house solutions.
· Maintain complete and accurate records of all test findings, such as test cases, problem reports, and performance benchmarks.
· Exemplary communication skills with appetite for change and transformation.
· Possess strong skills in planning, project management and attention to detail and has excellent problem solving and evaluative judgement skills.
· Communicate and co-ordinate people across geographies and among multiple teams to handle team across offshore and onshore.
· Manage multiple complex initiatives with competing deadlines and through various stages of development and approval.
· Problem solving - identify and resolve problems in a timely manner and report issues to the management team; demonstrate appropriate risk-taking and comfort with ambiguity.
· Exceptional Time management skill with an ability to prioritize and plan work effectively.
· Strong team member, collaborator, and self-starter.
· Relationship and teamwork focus.
· Welcoming changes and feedback with a flexible, adaptable, and helpful approach.

Candidate Qualification:

· Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Telecommunications, computer science, or a related discipline. Equivalent experience is also accepted.
· 1-3 years of experience testing mobile handsets or in other telecommunications-related activities.
· Experience with several devices and operating systems, including Android and iOS.

Skills:

· Experience with mobile testing tools like QXDM, QCAT, Wireshark, and other network protocol analyzers.
· Expertise in testing approaches such as manual, automated, regression, and stress testing.
· Basic understanding of mobile networks (GSM, CDMA, LTE, 5G) and wireless protocols (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and NFC).
· Understanding Android/iOS platform tools and debugging techniques.
· Assess and test the handset's radio frequency (RF) performance, which includes signal strength, coverage, and reception.
· Use RF test equipment, such as spectrum analyzers and signal generators, to assess RF performance in diverse situations.
· Conduct durability testing on the hardware (e.g., drop tests, temperature variation tests) to ensure the device fulfills industry standards for resilience.
· Use various hardware testing instruments, such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal analyzers, and thermal cameras, to run tests on mobile devices.
· Conduct environmental stress testing with temperature chambers, humidity chambers, and shock test equipment.

· Attention to Detail: Accuracy in detecting minor flaws or abnormalities in handset operation.

· Problem Solving: The ability to offer practical solutions to complex testing issues.
· Teamwork: The ability to work well with diverse teams such as developers, network engineers, and designers.

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: From 75,000 to 85,000 per annum plus Superannuation.
