Amtek is an Australian owned and operated company operating from our state of the art, purpose-built premises centrally located in New South Wales, Victoria and Western Australia. We are currently recruiting for experienced and qualified Vehicle Body Builders. These positions are located at our sites in Moorebank NSW, Ravenhall VIC and Western Australia.
We specialise in building bespoke, customised, engineered vehicular solutions for a range of clients.
The successful candidates will undertake and possess:
- Constructing framework sections in metal, wood, fibreglass and other materials using shaping machines and cutting and welding equipment according to specifications to meet delivery requirements and safety standards.
- Bolting, screwing, riveting and welding sections together to form complete frameworks
- Cutting and shaping panels of sheetmetal, aluminium and reinforced plastic and attaching to frameworks using hand and power tools
- Preparing new vehicle trim work according to drawings and sketches, and removing old coverings and fittings from vehicles and taking new measurements
- Installing components and trim such as door handles, locks, hinges, armrests, floor coverings and linings.
Skills & Attributes:
- Must have 3 years’ experience as a Body Builder
- Certificate III in Automotive Manufacturing Technical Operations Bus, Truck and Trailer or related
- OH&S awareness
Salary range is $70,000 - $85,000pa commensurate with experience.
