Salary: $66,000 plus 11.5% Superannuation
Position: Full time - Permanent

Orion Care focuses on empowering individuals through personal choice and independence, offering services in personal care, nursing, specialist care, and community participation. Their dedicated team is committed to helping clients achieve their personal goals and live fulfilling lives.

Orion Care is seeking caring and reliable Aged or Disabled Carers to support the clients with their daily activities, helping them maintain independence while ensuring their health, safety, and overall well-being. As an essential member of the care team, you will assist with personal care, household tasks, and community engagement, working closely with clients and their families to provide compassionate support in line with individual care plans.

Qualifications and Experience:
• Certificate III in Individual Support, Aged Care, Disability, or a related field
• At least one year experience in a similar role
• Experience working in aged care, disability or community nursing is desired

In this role your main responsibilities include:
• Provide personal care, including bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming, and mobility assistance, ensuring clients' comfort and dignity are maintained.
• Assist clients with household tasks such as meal preparation, laundry, cleaning, and shopping to support daily living activities.
• Help administer medications under supervision and ensure that care plans are followed correctly.
• Provide emotional support and companionship, fostering positive relationships with clients and encouraging their independence.
• Monitor clients' health and well-being, reporting any changes in condition to supervisors or healthcare professionals.
• Maintain accurate records of care provided and ensure compliance with safety and care standards.

To be successful in this role you must:
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with clients, families, and colleagues.
• A caring, patient, and empathetic nature with a commitment to providing high-quality care.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Valid Working With Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or willingness to obtain).
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• A genuine passion for helping individuals lead healthy and independent lives.
