Abacus Bar & Kitchen in South Yarra is seeking an experience Chef de Partie to join our team.
- Responsibilities: Prepare and present high-quality dishes within your designated section.
- Assist the Head Chef and Sous Chef in creating menu items, recipes, and developing dishes.
- Ensure that the kitchen operates in a timely manner that meets our quality standards.
- Supervise and motivate the junior kitchen staff, ensuring all preparations are completed on time and to the highest standards.
- Monitor portion and waste control to maintain profit margins.
-Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of all work areas, utensils, and equipment.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations within the kitchen area.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or similar role minimum 2 years in a reputable kitchen.
- Excellent use of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and processes.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure.
- Outstanding communication and leadership skills.
- Up-to-date knowledge of cooking techniques and recipes.
- A culinary Diploma or equivalent qualification is a plus.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
