Our client is seeking a motivated A/C Trade Assistant Labourer to join their team in Waterloo. In this role, you will support licensed HVAC technicians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of air conditioning systems. Responsibilities include preparing materials, handling tools, cleaning job sites, assisting with ductwork, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols. The ideal candidate is physically fit, eager to learn, and comfortable working in various weather conditions. Prior experience in HVAC or a related trade is an advantage but not necessary. This role offers a unique opportunity to develop practical skills and gain hands on experience in:
Assisting HVAC technicians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of air conditioning systems.
Transporting and preparing materials, tools, and equipment for daily tasks.
Supporting the assembly and installation of ductwork and other A/C system components.
Cleaning and maintaining job sites, ensuring all tools and materials are organized.
Following safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe work environment.
What We're Looking For:
Basic knowledge of HVAC systems or a related trade, such as plumbing or electrical work, is preferred but not essential.
Experience with hand and power tools, such as drills, wrenches, and saws, in a construction or trade environment.
Physical labor experience, including lifting heavy materials, climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces
Strong work ethic: Consistently demonstrates reliability, dedication, and a commitment to completing tasks efficiently.
Punctuality: Arrives on time and ready to work, maintaining a dependable presence on the job site.
Positive attitude: Maintains a can-do approach, even in challenging or physically demanding situations.
