My client is open to applicants with different levels of experience from Junior - Managerial level. General scope as a Mechanical Estimator, your responsibilities will include:
Accurately estimating costs for mechanical commercial and residential projects, including HVAC, plumbing, and other systems.
Collaborating with project managers and engineers to prepare competitive bids for tenders.
Evaluating material requirements and labour costs to create comprehensive estimates.
Identifying potential risks and proposing mitigation strategies.
Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain quotes and negotiate pricing.
Maintaining accurate records of estimates, quotes, and project details. What you'll need to succeed
To excel in this role, you should have:
Experience: A minimum of 3 years' experience as a Mechanical Estimator in the construction industry.
Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in reading mechanical drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
Attention to Detail: Strong analytical skills and an eye for detail when assessing project requirements.
Communication Skills: Effective communication to collaborate with internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders.
Software Proficiency: Familiarity with estimating software (e.g., CostX, Bluebeam) is advantageous. What you'll get in return
