Position Overview:
Globe Edge is seeking a skilled and innovative Web Developer to design, build, and maintain responsive, secure, and user-friendly websites. The successful candidate will work closely with the marketing, design, and content teams to ensure a seamless digital experience across multiple platforms, elevating our clients' brands and meeting their business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Website Development & Maintenance:
Design, build, and maintain websites using web programming, scripting, and content management systems.
Ensure that websites are functional, secure, user-friendly, and responsive across various devices.
Update and maintain websites for optimal performance, including debugging and troubleshooting any issues.
Multimedia Integration:
Create and integrate multimedia content, including audio, video, animations, and graphic images for websites and applications.
Optimize multimedia elements for web-based platforms and ensure seamless functionality across all devices.
Collaboration & Project Management:
Collaborate with graphic designers, digital marketing teams, and clients to ensure the websites align with business goals and brand identity.
Manage projects from conceptualization to deployment, meeting deadlines and ensuring client satisfaction.
Technical Innovation:
Stay up-to-date with the latest web technologies, trends, and best practices.
Suggest and implement new features to improve user experience, website performance, and search engine rankings.
Support & Optimization:
Monitor and optimize website performance (load speed, SEO, etc.).
Provide ongoing support for website issues and improvements.
Requirements:
Australian Citizens and Permanent Residents are encouraged to apply
Bachelor’s Degree in Web Development, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
At least 2-5 years of proven experience in web development, with a strong portfolio showcasing previous projects.
Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other web development languages.
Experience with CMS platforms such as WordPress, Joomla, or Drupal.
Familiarity with multimedia integration (audio, video, animation).
Knowledge of web security protocols, SEO best practices, and mobile-first design.
Proficient in using web programming, scripting, and authoring software, as well as file transfer and content management software.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
Creative mindset with the ability to innovate and improve web design and functionality.
