Responsibilities
· The purpose of the role is to assist with development activities across land agreements, environmental permitting, grid connection, community engagement, financial modelling, offtake, funding. The role will also assist with due diligence of potential acquisition opportunities.
· Build relationships with host landowners and assist with negotiation and execution of licence, option, and easement agreements to secure land access• Identify, engage and manage environmental and technical consultants, legal advisors and other service providers as required to deliver required work products to advance development activities within target timeframes
· Engage with local, state and federal permitting authorities and assist with preparation of environmental impact assessment studies and reports to secure permits for proposed development projects
· Engage with NSPs, AEMO, consultants and internal teams to manage grid connection studies and connection application processes
· Assist with community engagement through development and distribution of collateral, organization of community events, and presentation to stakeholders as required
· Assist with preparation of technical designs to support development of cost estimates, financial modelling and environmental permitting.
Qualifications
· Technical, engineering or business background with experience in project development• Experience with commercial contracting and negotiation
Competencies
· Experience with grid connection and NSPs is highly valued
· Self-motivated with excellent communication, presentation and organizational skills
· Demonstrated ability to engage and build relationships with people
· Positive, outgoing personality
· High level of professionalism, confidentiality and discretion
