OVERVIEW:
Zenith Bistro & Grill is seeking a skilled and passionate Chef to join our team. The ideal candidate will bring a combination of culinary expertise and creativity to enhance our dining experience. The Chef will be responsible for meal preparation, menu development, and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and hygiene.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prepare and cook meals to meet the standards and expectations for flavor, quality, and presentation.
Design and implement new menus and dishes that align with the restaurant's brand and customer preferences.
Manage kitchen inventory and order supplies to maintain adequate stock levels.
Ensure compliance with food handling and sanitation standards.
Supervise kitchen staff, including providing training, guidance, and performance feedback.
Manage the kitchen operations efficiently, maintaining cost control measures to meet budgetary requirements.
REQUIREMENTS:
Australian Citizens and Permanent Residents are encouraged to apply.
Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery.
At least 2 years of professional experience in a similar role.
Strong culinary skills with a deep understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, and cuisine styles.
Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Creative thinker and problem solver.
