About the role:

We are looking for a Commissioning Manager to effectively manage the commissioning process and ensure every project is completed efficiently. The incumbent will be responsible for defining best practice, supporting commissioning activities and ensuring each project adheres to our governance framework. This role will liaise with multi-disciplinary construction/commissioning teams and optimise systems/processes for performance and reliability.


Key responsibilities include:

•      Implement and manage a governance framework, supporting commissioning activities across all data centre projects.

•      Participate in the key design reviews to ensure that the pre-commissioning and commissioning requirements are incorporated into the design of the facilities.

•      Provide commissioning expertise and oversight on all projects   from factory acceptance to project completion and handover.

•      Responsible for project field and jobsite start-up and commissioning operations.

•      Monitors and reviews all commissioning programs and makes necessary revisions to program as required.

•      Design and plan the commissioning phase to match programme requirements.

•      Champion the CDC commissioning process, provide guidance and arrange for training of staff.

•      Support the construction team during project delivery and monitor compliance to the CDC and end client requirements.

•      Manage the root cause analysis and lessons learnt process for continuous improvement of the design and commissioning stages.

•      Mentor and impart knowledge to junior staff.

•      Act in an ambassadorial capacity for the company.

•      Lead, attend and contribute to appropriate team and stakeholder (internal and external) meetings and committees as required and relevant to ensure excellent stakeholder engagement and communication.

•      Embrace and model CDC’s DNA and Leadership Fundamentals.

•      Other duties as directed.

 

About you: 

·         Minimum 5 years experience as a commissioning manager 

·         Demonstrable successful record on ‘similar’ scale projects 

·         A strong focus on safety and implementation  

·         Excellent attention to detail and ability to quickly recognise issues or foresee and navigate risk early 

·         Sound knowledge of key stakeholder requirements and the ability to communicate through the following construction channels, ACONEX, PROCORE and BIM model  

·         Understanding of mechanical & electrical elements throughout the base build 

·         Principles of supervision, training, performance evaluation and professional development 

·         Excellent written, interpersonal and communication skills. 

·         Knowledge of building methods and materials 

·         Skill interpreting drawings and architectural plans 

·         An understanding of building standards and safety regulations 

·         Administration skills, and knowledge of cost control and purchasing 

·         An understanding of quality control systems 

 

Essential:

•      Australian citizenship and ability to obtain, an NV1 Security Clearance
