We are currently hiring for several casual positions for Laundry and Cleaning Services Assistants at Respect Eliza Purton.

About the roles: The Cleaning Services Assistant is responsible to provide cleaning services which contribute to a safe, clean and home like living environment for residents and staff. The Laundry Services Assistant is responsible for the provision of laundry services in accordance with infection control and laundry practice standards.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide cleaning services according to established cleaning schedules.
- Mopping, vacuuming and polishing floors, shampooing of carpets, damp dusting, waste management and restocking of supplies.
- Assist with laundry practices as required.
- Maintain records of completion of cleaning schedule duties.
- Safe storage and use of cleaning / laundry agents including correct cleaning agents used in correct quantities for each task.
- Participate in the infection control program.
- Contribute to a safe environment when undertaking duties ensuring equipment is not obscuring exits and passageways
- Ensure all resident personal clothing and laundry items are labeled.
- Safely transport and handles soiled linen in accordance with infection control requirements.
- Launders linen and resident personal clothing according to policies and procedures.
- Ensure correct storage and rotation of clean linen.
- Inspect and identify linen items for replacement.
- Any other task not defined but within the employees skills, as directed by the organisation.
Essential:
- Training or experience in cleaning.
- Experience in laundry practices.
- Current National Police Certificate (or ability to acquire
- Knowledge and experience in chemical handling.
- Experience in residential aged care.
