Title: Motor Mechanic (Full-time)
Motor mechanic position available at VICTYRES AUSTRALIA PTY LTD T/A TYRERIGHT HASTINGS, an
established and well-equipped automotive workshop located at 254 Marine Pde, Hastings VIC 3915.
Prospective applicants must have good prior experience working commercially as a motor mechanic.
Duties include:
• Servicing light engine vehicles (Oil change, oil filter change, air filter change, lubrication)
• Transmission service - Perform regular checks, install, and remove transmissions.
• Repair/service of radiators, braking system, steering and suspension systems.
• Conduct pressure tests to diagnose hydraulic problems.
• Inspect and maintain exhaust system & fuel injection systems.
• Conducting tests to diagnose both mechanical and electrical issues.
• Computer-based scan tools are used for fault finding and repair.
• Repair and diagnosis of cooling and air conditioning systems.
• Repair and install lights. Fitting and setting new points, checking batteries, and charging systems.
In return for your commitment and skills, you will receive a competitive salary package ($75000 + super of 11.5% ) and receive ongoing training with opportunities to develop your skills and career. Applicants with formal qualifications (AQF Certificate IV in automotive mechanical diagnosis or Certificate III in light vehicle mechanical technology with more than 1.5 years of industry experience) will be prioritized. The position is available full time, 38 hours/week but the applicant must be available for 7 days/week and willing to work odd hours (Weekend & early shifts).
