Position Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Carpenter to perform a variety of construction and renovation tasks. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. This role involves working on both large-scale renovation projects and smaller custom builds, ensuring the highest standard of quality is met on every project.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform carpentry work, including framing, installing doors, windows, cabinetry, and other interior fixtures.
Construct, install, repair, and maintain wooden structures such as frameworks, flooring, staircases, and walls.
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and project specifications to ensure accurate construction.
Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood, plywood, and other materials using hand tools and power tools.
Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other team members to ensure project timelines and goals are met.
Inspect work and ensure all tasks meet safety standards and building codes.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring tools and equipment are properly used and stored.
Troubleshoot and resolve carpentry-related issues during construction projects.
Requirements:
Australian Citizens and Permanent Residents are encouraged to apply.
Minimum Certificate III in Carpentry or higher.
At least 2 years of experience in the carpentry trade.
Proficient in using carpentry tools, hand tools, and power equipment.
Knowledge of building materials, methods, and the tools involved in construction.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work well in a team.
Good physical condition and ability to work in various weather conditions and environments.
