One of our clients CBL Hotel Management Pty. Ltd, located in Ballarat, VIC, requires a full-time, skilled, and experienced Accountant.
To be considered for this role you must have:
• Bachelor’s degree or higher qualification preferably in Accounting, Business or Business Administration
• Or at least five years of relevant experience to substitute for the formal qualification.
• You must be Australian Citizen/ Permanent Resident or have proper working rights in Australia.
Your main duties include:
• General bookkeeping.
• Reconciling bank statement monthly.
• Assisting in preparing financial statements.
• Preparing BAS quarterly.
• Preparing taxation returns for the company.
• Monitoring budget and company’s income and expenditure.
• Assisting with implementing and maintaining internal financial controls and procedures.
• Reviewing of the monthly management accounts which includes the Balance Sheet, Profit and Loss and Cash Flow statement for submission to the management.
• Perform Monthly Bank and other Reconciliations and monthly reports to the management.
• Providing financial information that depicts business performance and funding needs.
• Perform checking of time sheets and payroll processing to the employees and maintaining the annual leave records of the employees, ensuring that the Superannuation Guaranteed contribution is paid promptly every quarter.
• Preparation of ad-hoc financial reports and analysis of specific accounts in the General Ledger as and when requested.
• Maintain Company Accounts & Bookkeeping according to proper standards in addition to review and monitor company accounts on an ongoing basis to ensure accuracy.
• Examining operating costs and business income and expenditure.
• Advise the Chef on purchasing products and being cost effective.
• Introducing and maintaining accounting systems and providing advice on selection and application of computer-based accounting systems.
• Recommend and develop solutions to all financial problems.
The successful candidate should have excellent attention to detail and outstanding mathematical skills.
Salary - $73150 plus super
