On behalf of our client, Piacentini & Son, we are advertising. We are currently looking for an experienced Boilermaker/Welder to join our team in Picton on a full time basis.
The Boilermaker/Welder will work as a member of the maintenance team, and is required to conduct manufacturing cutting, and marking duties to and maintain earth moving equipment used in our fleet on site in a safe and operational condition.
Tasks & Duties:
• Prioritise and plan heavy duty fabrication and maintenance tasks.
• Marking and working to complex plans.
• Design and manufacture templates.
• Conduct cutting and structural welding tasks to the current Australian Standards.
• Use and maintain welding and cutting equipment.
• Operate an overhead crane.
• Conduct major welding tasks.
• Work in confined spaces as required.
• Use all PPE required as per company policy and procedure.
• Supervise apprentice boilermaker welders.
• Identify, interpret and repair for reuse any parts and accessories.
• Complete maintenance records (DMR) for all work carried out.
Skills and experience
• Have 1st Class Welding experience.
• Class C driver’s licence Current drivers’ licence, or site-specific requirements (i.e. minimum ‘C’ class Australian driver’s licence – not on probationary period if mine site based).
• High Risk Licence for all relevant High-Risk activities (Crane, Dogging, Forklift, EWP) is desirable.
Salary from $73,150 + superannuation.
