Position Overview: The Materials Engineer will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and durability of the materials used in our pool construction projects. This role involves evaluating and selecting the best materials, overseeing quality control, and collaborating with our design and construction teams to ensure that all materials meet the highest standards. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of materials science, particularly in relation to concrete, steel, and other construction materials used in pool building.
Key Responsibilities:
Evaluate and select appropriate materials for pool construction, focusing on durability, cost-effectiveness, and environmental impact.
Develop and implement material testing procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and company specifications.
Collaborate with architects, engineers, and construction teams to integrate material considerations into the design and construction processes.
Conduct research and stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in materials science, particularly in concrete and composite materials.
Troubleshoot and resolve any material-related issues that arise during the construction process.
Provide technical guidance and support to the project management team on material selection and application.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Materials Engineer.
Strong knowledge of concrete, steel, and other construction materials.
Familiarity with Australian building codes and standards.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with various stakeholders.
