Sports Centre Manager
Location: Glen Waverley
At this popular successful swim centre they are dedicated to promoting physical well-being and creating a community hub for swim enthusiasts of all ages. They offer state-of-the-art facilities and a diverse range of programs designed to inspire and engage, teaching budding swimmers from tots to adults. Open throughout the week, the centre is now seeking to appoint a swimming school manager, and have engaged Kogan People Solutions, versatile and responsive, to assist in this recruitment effort. The job is full time, and ongoing.
Key Responsibilities:
• Managing the day-to-day operations of the sports centre.
• Developing and implementing sports programs and events.
• Supervising, training, and motivating staff, including swim school staff and administrative personnel.
• Ensuring the facility is maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and safety.
• Handling customer relations, addressing inquiries, and resolving issues efficiently.
• Overseeing financial aspects including budgeting, billing, and payroll.
• Marketing the swim centre and its programs to boost participation and membership.
• Liaising with local schools, sports clubs, and community groups to foster partnerships and community engagement.
• Staying abreast of industry trends and integrating best practices into operations.
Requirements:
• Proven experience (of at least 2 to 3 years) in sports centre management or a similar role.
• In-depth knowledge of sports and recreation management.
• Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Proficiency in financial management and administrative tasks.
• Excellent marketing and customer service skills.
• Relevant qualifications in sports management, business administration, or a related field.
Preferred:
• Certifications in First Aid, CPR, and relevant sports coaching.
• Relevant Diploma, or better, or agreed substitute
• Experience in community engagement and event planning.
