SALARY RANGE $70,000 - $80,000 + SUPERANNUATION
We pride ourselves on providing exceptional Italian cuisine using locally sourced, fresh produce, we produce almost everything from scratch on premises. We create delicious comfort food in the style of an Italian Trattoria, and this is why our customers love returning to us.
Specialising in Italian Cuisine, we are open 7 days for lunch and dinner with a seating capacity of 250 people plus a busy takeaway section, so you will be required to work on weekends, or at on Friday & Saturday nights 5pm to 9pm.
Duties:
• Plan Italian menu including specials and season-bounded recipes
• Prepare raw ingredients like mincing, slicing, and dicing of ingredients
• Cook food in portions or bulk depending on order while following Italian Trattoria recipes
• Discuss food preparation, cooking, and presentation with management and kitchen
staff to streamline output of food
• Season cooked food to balance the taste and entice the taste buds of customers
• Daily check serviceability of kitchen equipment, and stations
• Estimate the budget and daily ingredients supply and maintain a stock level
• Restock ingredients based on a stock-level and keep a minimum supply on-hand
• Inspect quality of ingredients and dispose of accordingly if spoiled
• Strictly reinforce adherence of safety and sanitation standard in the kitchen at all
times
• Oversee kitchen cooks and coordinate to streamline daily operation
• Training and overseeing the development of a new staff
• Performs any other assigned task related to work duties
Skills and experience:
Ideally, you are a proficient individual with a passion for Italian food. Driven to provide the best quality of food consistently. You must possess the following skills to be considered for the role:
• Full Australian working rights (this is a long-term position, requiring unrestricted Australian working rights)
• Minimum 2 years’ experience
• Previous experience with Italian cuisine
• Experience working in a fast-paced restaurant
• Love working in a team
• Excellent presentation skills
• Managerial People Skills
• Calm patient persona
• Share your skills and have a desire to teach your staff
• You'll be involved in menu decisions
