We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Music Teacher to teach our volunteers the art of music, mindfulness, and deep relaxation techniques through traditional Sikh music. The successful candidate will have exceptional patience, communication skills, and mastery of traditional Sikh string instruments. The role requires teaching both one-on-one and group sessions, including students with little or no prior experience in music or singing. Vocal experience is a bonus.

Key Responsibilities
Plan, prepare, and deliver music lesson plans that integrate relaxation and mindfulness techniques.
Teach volunteers how to play traditional Sikh string instruments such as Rabab, Taus, Dilruba, and Sarangi.
Lead individual and group music sessions, focusing on both technical skills and emotional well-being through music.
Inspire and motivate volunteers to engage in cultural events, music performances, and relaxation practices through the art of music.
Provide constructive feedback, criticism, and encouragement to students.
Adapt teaching methods to cater to adult learners, especially those with no prior experience in music or singing.
Collaborate with the team for performances and community events.
Requirements
A minimum of 10 years of teaching experience with traditional Sikh string instruments.
Ability to play and teach a variety of Sikh music instruments.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire and engage learners of all skill levels.
Patience and creativity in working with adult learners who have no previous music experience.
Vocal experience is highly desirable.
Commitment to promoting mindfulness, relaxation, and well-being through music.
