Description:
As a Transport Company Manager, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
• Organising the purchase and maintenance of transport vehicles, equipment, and fuel to ensure efficient operations.
• Liaising with clients to determine their requirements, providing advice on vehicle types, hire rates, and addressing complaints.
• Receiving orders and bookings, and planning transportation schedules to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
• Ensuring goods are stored and transported under conditions that maintain their quality and safety standards.
• Arranging the collection and delivery of vehicles and goods, ensuring the logistics chain operates smoothly.
• Maintaining accurate business records, preparing operational statements, and compiling reports for management review.
• Coordinating the arrival, departure, loading, and unloading activities at the depot, ensuring minimal delays.
• Ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety regulations and implementing necessary safety procedures.
• Managing relationships with key clients and serving as their primary point of contact to ensure satisfaction.
• Collaborating with fleet allocators and planners to optimise routing, vehicle utilization, and reduce operational costs.
• Managing driver rosters and ensuring all drivers complete pre-start safety checks and are fit for duty.
• Monitoring depot expenses and operational costs to ensure the depot operates within budget.
Profile:
The successful applicant will have:
• Minimum 2 years relevant experience in Transport Company Management Position
• Strong Attention to detail
• Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident Preferred
• Qualification-AQF Bachelor or Higher required
Salary:
• $80,000-$100,000 + Superannuation
Full Time:
• 38 hours per week
