Permanent Full-time Senior Executive Leadership Position
Are you an experienced Building Surveyor with a passion for delivering high-quality services in the local community? We are looking for a skilled and motivated Municipal Building Surveyor to join our team. In this leadership role, you?ll oversee building services across Wellington Shire and East Gippsland Shire Councils ensuring compliance with legislation, managing inspections, and supervising dedicated teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Administer building services in line with the Building Act and associated regulations.
Supervise a team of Building Inspectors, Deputy Municipal Building Surveyor, and Administration staff.
Process building permit applications, inspect construction sites, and respond to complaints and emergencies.
Oversee public safety an ensure compliance with building regulations, including the management f of pool safety and the coordination of legal actions where necessary.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve Council goals
