Luxury Escapes The Junior Systems Administrator is responsible for supporting in the setup, operation and troubleshooting of IT related hardware and network infrastructure. This will include desktop/laptop computers, computer networking, servers, printers, telephone systems, monitoring tools and associated software required to run these components. The role will be based in Melbourne and will be responsible for supporting the Melbourne and Sydney offices for Lux Group and will also provide assistance where required for our remote workforce and our global satellite operations which currently include Europe, India, New Zealand, Singapore and USA. Task & Responsibilities Support and maintain our standard operating environment (Windows desktops) Monitor and maintain our on-premise server and storage infrastructure Maintain our cloud Infrastructure and ‘software as a service’ subscriptions (Office 365, NVM, AWS, Azure) Network hardware upgrades (multiple locations, installation of new switches, routers, firewalls, wireless access points) Support and maintain our telephony services (VOIP, call routing, NVM profiles) Ensure all data and configuration backups run and are complete in scope Undertake Escalated support (Level 2 & 3) for helpdesk staff Pick up any overflow of the helpdesk workload Undertake periodic Infrastructure and security audits Provide advice and recommendations on all of the above Manage assigned ad-hoc projects and tasks as require Qualification & Experience A relevant degree Experience of configuring, maintaining and supporting desktop operating systems (Windows 10, Mac) Exposure to administering virtualisation technologies (VMWare, Hyper-V) Experience of administering Active Directory and Office 365 Experience with backup products (Veeam advantageous), General understanding of networking concepts (TCP-IP, switching, routing) General IT security and cyber security awareness Pro-active mindset with a customer service focus About Company Luxury Escapes stands proudly as one of the world's fastest-growing travel businesses, curating and offering the world’s best escapes handpicked by our experts.
