Georges River Council has an excellent opportunity for a Library Officer Research and Community History to join our team, based in Hurstville.
The Research and Community History team is responsible for the delivery of a community history service for internal and external customers and the management of the Local Studies collection and archive.
About the Role
The Library Officer Research and Community History contributes to the efficient and effective operations of the Georges River Libraries by ensuring the delivery of high quality, customer focused library services, resources, programs and systems. 
In this role you will:

Assist with the maintenance and delivery of the Local Studies Management Plan and Disaster Preparedness Plan
Contribute to the preservation and development of the local studies collection including digitisation, cataloguing and active collection of historical and contemporary materials
Undertake research and develop original
