Lewis Horticulture The Production Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, and coordinating the production of the companies’ products on time and in full within budget parameters. Efficient utilization of the companies’ physical and human resources is required to achieve this result. Be sufficiently advanced in resource allocation planning to pre-empt and negate any capacity issues prior to reaching critical stages minimizing any losses or efficiency declines Be active and flexible in achieving the required profit and success outcome for the company. ROLE TASKS: Determining in conjunction with the Managing Director production strategies, policies, and plans to maintain a time-based production program with budget parameters. Planning in conjunction with the Managing Director controlling and monitoring activities to maintain a time-based Ground Planting Performance program with budget parameters. Monitoring flow of activities and resources ensuring success in terms of output quality and quantity of no greater than 30% loss or not sellable across the production process. Defined as a maximum 20% loss in Young Plant and 10% loss in Production. Mentoring, retention, and development of staff and staff training system to ensure a reliable and flexible workforce is available to achieve the company’s goals. Informing other Managers about production matters. Maintain production records and reports SCOPE OF RESPONSABILITIES The Production Manager is responsible for: Efficient and effective performance and sustainable operation of each of the 5 main work units: Young Plants, Production, Plant Quality, Dispatch and In Ground Crops Maintenance unit which involves equipment and tools upkeep, water delivery and collection system maintenance, filtration system maintenance, growing and work area infrastructure maintenance, and general property presentation. Other units or work areas which may be assigned from time to time. REQUIRED RECORDS Accurate inventory for all products produced and cared for by Lewis Horticulture. Accurate production data for each measured stage of production, including brokerage stock. Accurate data collecting to measure Operational KPI Reports of efficiency and efficacy in production procedures from each main work unit. Reports of Quantity and Quality of production procedures from each main work unit.
