This Australian Government Agency is a well-known and highly regarded organisation with a strong reputation and impressive staff retention. They have a rare opportunity available for an Executive Level 2 (EL2) Building Manager to lead a diverse team.
Your new role
The EL2 Building Manager is responsible for management, maintenance and repair of the agency's portfolio of properties and associated assets, including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, fire systems, lifts, ground, cleaning and waste management.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to;


Strategic management of buildings and facilities maintenance contracts
Collaborate and foster positive working relationships with service providers
Strong leadership of a small, diverse team is essential in fostering a positive environment, optimising operational efficiency and ensuring compliance with all WHS regulations.
Development and implementation of facility policy and procedures
Manage the maintenance of associated assets' life cycle
Prepare briefs, ministerial submissions and other correspondence

What you'll need to succeed

Ideally, you will have 5+ years' experience in a leadership role within the Building/Facilities/Asset Management sector.
Exceptional leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
Strong technical understanding of building systems, maintenance processes and asset management
Proven ability to build and maintain key strategic relationships with a range of stakeholders
Demonstrated experience developing productive and collaborative government teams
Proven experience in procurement, budget and tender management to manage external contractors
