A great opportunity to provide your technical expertise to the site-based ICT infrastructure team Your new company A great opportunity to work for a global mining company Location : Residential role based in Kalgoorlie, WA Your new role You are responsible for ensuring the Company's IT systems and computing environments are managed and maintained effectively and efficiently. Key Responsibilities
Infrastructure Maintenance: Perform housekeeping and preventative maintenance on server and network infrastructure, including Windows Servers, VMware virtualization platforms, and Cisco managed switches and routers.
Project Management: Plan and implement medium-sized site-based IT projects, including network extensions, hardware refreshes, and application upgrades. Manage contractors as needed to ensure successful project implementation.
IT Systems Management: Hands-on management, provision, and support of on-site IT systems. Address connectivity issues, install and maintain desktops, laptops, servers, network equipment, and applications, and monitor operational status.
Backup and Disaster Recovery: Maintain regular backups for all on-site servers. Ensure disaster recovery plans are up-to-date, tested, and effective.
Hardware and Application Installation: Install and maintain computing hardware and applications, including Windows and Windows Server, Office 365, and other business applications on various devices.
Service Desk Support: Occasionally, monitor the IT Service Desk, ensuring timely resolution of support incidents and appropriate escalation to the senior IT staff or management when necessary. What you'll need to succeed
Demonstrated experience in the System administrator role in a Microsoft Windows Server environment, Active Directory and Group Policy management
Demonstrated experience working in the SOE environment including exposure to SCCM, MECM and MS Intune
Cisco CCNA certification or equivalent work experience, including managed switches, VLAN & routing configuration.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
