Operating a vibrant 180-seat bistro, a cosy 35-seat café/lounge, a versatile 50-seat function room, and 83 gaming machines, HSCC stands as a pillar of community support in Horsham. Role Summary: We are seeking a skilled Chef to craft memorable dining experiences and oversee culinary operations. This role combines culinary expertise with community spirit, reflecting the club’s ethos of excellence and local enrichment.

Location: Horsham, VIC

Key Responsibilities:
• Design and execute seasonal menus while managing food and labour costs to align with the club's financial goals.
• Ensure the highest standards of dish preparation and presentation, from inception to delivery.
• Collaborate with management and staff to resolve culinary preparation challenges and enhance service efficiency.
• Train and lead kitchen staff, imparting advanced cooking techniques and ensuring adherence to food safety regulations.
• Manage food inventory, placing orders to replenish supplies and optimise kitchen operations.
• Uphold stringent hygiene standards throughout the kitchen, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Participate in staff selection processes and lead training initiatives to build a competent kitchen team.
• Implement best practices in food preservation to enhance food quality and safety.

Hours of Work: This is a full-time position, typically involving 38 hours per week.

Compensation: Salary range of $70,000-$80,000 plus superannuation per annum, commensurate with experience.

Requirements:
• Minimum of 2 years experience in a professional kitchen environment.
• AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma, or Diploma in a relevant culinary field.

• Strong leadership skills and the ability to foster a collaborative team environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact positively with staff and patrons.
