Salary: $73,000 - $78,000 + Superannuation

Join Our Team as a Chef!
Gold Sweets Lynbrook is looking for a passionate and skilled Chef to join our team. If you have a love for Indian cuisine and the ability to create authentic and flavorful dishes, this role is for you!

Key Responsibilities:
1. Prepare and cook a variety of Indian dishes: Including dosas, curries, tandoori specialties, chaats, and Indian sweets, ensuring consistency in taste, presentation, and quality.
2. Oversee kitchen operations: Manage food preparation, portion control, and presentation while maintaining kitchen cleanliness and food safety standards.
3. Menu planning and development: Collaborate with management to create new dishes and seasonal specials that reflect customer preferences and Indian culinary traditions.
4. Inventory and supply management: Ensure timely ordering of ingredients, monitor stock levels, and reduce wastage by implementing efficient kitchen practices.
5. Maintain hygiene and safety standards: Ensure compliance with food handling, hygiene, and health regulations, keeping the kitchen clean and organized.
6. Train and supervise kitchen staff: Provide guidance and support to junior staff, ensuring high-quality food preparation and efficient kitchen operations.

Requirements:
1. Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent.
2. Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Chef, preferably in an Indian cuisine-focused kitchen.
3. Expertise in preparing a wide variety of Indian dishes, including curries, tandoori items, dosas, and sweets.
4. Strong understanding of food safety standards, kitchen operations, and hygiene practices.
5. Excellent time management skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
6. Leadership qualities to manage kitchen staff and ensure smooth kitchen operations.
7. Creativity in menu development and passion for delivering high-quality food.
