AM & S Ciavarella Management are currently looking to recruit an experienced and qualified Mixed Crop Farmer to join their team in Stanbridge NSW 2705.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum of two years’ experience in a similar role
- Experience implementing or working within a business with WHS guidelines
- Some experience with livestock and a good understanding or agronomic principles for pastures, dry land crops and irrigated crops and the link to livestock production
- A current Chemcert Certificate or will be willing to attain one
- Strong mechanical skills and ability to maintain and repair plant, equipment & machinery
- Operating modern fleet of farming plant/equipment with GPS
- Accurate recording and reporting of farming information & data
- Knowledge and experience planning and preparing for planting and cultivation
Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Plan and coordinate the production of crops
- Soil preparation
- Cultivating crops and maintaining optimal growing conditions
- Organize and conduct farming operations, including collecting, storing and grading the crops
- Direct and oversee general faming activities including fertilizing, pest control and week control
- Recoding farming activities, and plan crop preparation and production to meet yearly contract requirements and market demand
- Train and supervise staff/contractors
- Budgeting and ordering in conjunction with management
- Knowledge and experience planning and preparing for planting and cultivation
- Spraying / Planting & Spreading operations
Salary range is $70,000 - $85,000pa commensurate with experience
