Duties and Responsibilities
• Monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation.
• Discussing food preparation issues with managers, dietitians and kitchen and waiting staff.
• Demonstrating techniques and advising on cooking procedures.
• Preparing and cooking food.
• Explaining and enforcing hygiene regulations.
• Selecting and training staff.
• Freezing and preserving foods.
• Check the freshness of food and ingredients.
• Supervise and coordinate activity of cook and other staff
• develop recipes and determine how to present the dishes.
• Inspect supplies equipment and work area of cleanliness
• Monitor sanitation practise a follow kitchen safety standard.
Qualification and Experience
More than one and a half years of work experience as a chef
Certificate III in Commercial cookery
Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery
