We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Construction Project Manager to lead our exciting upcoming projects.
Position Overview:
As a Construction Project Manager, you will oversee the entire construction process from inception to completion. This role requires strategic planning, hands-on management of site operations, and effective communication with stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery that meets client expectations. You’ll play a crucial role in completing projects on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with all relevant building regulations and safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
• Project Planning & Coordination:
o Develop comprehensive project timelines, schedules, and work plans.
o Collaborate with architects, engineers, and clients to define project goals and deliverables.
o Organize labour, materials, and equipment for efficient workflow.
• Site Management:
o Supervise daily operations on-site to ensure timely progress and compliance with plans.
o Manage subcontractors and staff, ensuring quality control and adherence to specifications.
o Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
• Quality Assurance:
o Conduct inspections to ensure work meets specifications and building codes.
o Address any discrepancies promptly and uphold high standards of craftsmanship.
• Budget Management:
o Oversee project budgets, ensuring effective cost control and financial accountability.
o Approve purchases, negotiate contracts, and prepare financial reports.
• Client Liaison:
o Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle.
o Provide regular updates on project status and manage changes to the project scope.
• Compliance & Safety:
o Ensure adherence to local building regulations and safety standards.
o Conduct safety inspections and maintain legal compliance throughout the project.
• Team Leadership:
o Lead and motivate teams of tradespeople and subcontractors to foster a collaborative work environment.
o Facilitate effective communication and problem-solving on-site.
Qualifications:
• Proven experience as a Construction Project Manager or similar role in construction management.
• Strong knowledge of construction techniques, materials, and safety regulations.
• Excellent project management, organizational, and multitasking skills.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting.
• Familiarity with building codes and standards.
Education & Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field or relevant experience.
• Minimum five years of experience in construction project management in a similar environment.
