IELTS & PTE Trainer
Salary $80,000 + superannuation
Duties and Responsibilities
• Developing tailored study programs for IELTS and PTE preparation for both individual students and groups.
• Teaching and explaining theoretical concepts related to the language and exam areas.
• Demonstrating practical skills and exam techniques specific to IELTS and PTE.
• Assigning tailored exercises and practice problems based on students' abilities and learning needs.
• Evaluating students' progress and offering constructive feedback and support.
• Revising the curriculum, course content, materials, and instructional methods for IELTS and PTE preparation.
• Preparing students for language proficiency exams, assessments, and performance reviews.
• Staying informed about the latest trends in language education by attending seminars, conferences, and reading current research.
• May organize professional visits or tours to relevant exhibitions and language events.
• May organize mock IELTS/PTE exams or presentations of students' progress and achievements.
Qualification and Experience
• Undergraduate degree (or equivalent).
• Mandatory: PTE score with minimum 79 in all 4 modules. Strong communication and teaching skills.
• Preferred: IELTS score with minimum 7 in all 4 modules.
• Optional: Degree in English, Education, or related field.
• Fluency in English
• Australian PR or Citizen preferred.
• Have a minimum 3 years’ experience as an IELTS/PTE trainer.
• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
• Strong understanding of English grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation.
• Proficiency in evaluating student progress and providing actionable feedback.
• Knowledge of using technology and online resources to aid teaching.
• Strong work ethic and commitment to continuous professional development.
