Eurostar Diesels Pty Ltd is looking for a full-time experienced qualified Motor Mechanic/Technician to join our team at our Eurostar Diesels workshop in Hallam.
Position Description
The duties of the Motor Mechanic/Technician include:
• Testing and diagnosis of mechanical and electrical faults in engines and vehicles.
• Removing and dismantling faulty engine, transmission, suspension, brake and electrical parts from vehicles.
• Reassembling engines and parts on vehicles.
• Repairing and replacing faulty parts on vehicles.
• Testing, adjusting and programming of replacement components on vehicles.
• Use of electronic and computer diagnostic systems.
• Writing of diagnostic and repair reports for customers.
• Schedule services maintenance on vehicles including replacing engine oil and oil filter, visual inspection, writing and submitting report, top up all fluids, check tyre pressure, inspect air filter, inspect brake components, inspect cabin filter, inspect tyre tread.
• Changing tyres including balancing.
• Changing brake components including brake pads, rotors, fluids and sliding pins
• Welding of parts.
• Test driving to assess faults.
• any other duties reasonably specified by management from time to time.
Must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities.
Knowledge and experience working with Mercedes diesel vehicles will be highly regarded.
The position is full-time.
Salary $70,000 - $75,000 plus superannuation. Negotiable for the right candidate and level of experience.
