Job Overview:

Go2 Technik & Services Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Management Accountant (ANZSCO 221112) to join our team in Beenleigh, Queensland. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering financial insights, budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis to support management in making informed decisions. You will be pivotal in optimizing financial performance, driving efficiencies, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.

This is an exciting opportunity for a driven and detail-oriented individual with at least 3 years of experience in management accounting or a similar role. You will work closely with senior management to provide financial leadership and play a key role in shaping the company’s financial strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Planning & Analysis:
Prepare, analyse, and interpret financial statements and reports, including budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.

Cost Management:
Monitor and control costs to ensure the business operates within its budget. Conduct variance analysis to understand differences between actual and budgeted results, providing insights and recommendations.

Budgeting & Forecasting:
Lead the preparation of annual budgets and rolling forecasts, working collaboratively with various departments to ensure accurate and timely completion.

Management Reporting:
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounts, including profit & loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports. Provide commentary and recommendations based on financial data.

Performance Analysis:
Analyse financial performance indicators (KPIs), margins, and cost structures to help improve operational efficiency and profitability.

Business Partnering:
Collaborate with department heads and other key stakeholders to provide financial guidance and support, ensuring that financial objectives are met and aligned with the company’s strategic goals.

Compliance & Governance:
Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards (e.g., IFRS) and Australian tax regulations. Assist with audits and provide necessary financial documentation as required.

Risk Management:
Identify financial risks and opportunities, offering actionable insights and strategies to mitigate risks and enhance growth.

Process Improvement:
Continuously seek opportunities to streamline and improve financial processes, systems, and controls, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data.

Skills & Qualifications:

Educational Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Professional Certifications:
CPA or CA certification is preferred but not mandatory.

Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in management accounting, preferably within the construction, engineering, or services sectors.

Technical Skills:
Strong proficiency in financial analysis tools, accounting software (e.g., MYOB, Xero, or SAP), and advanced Excel skills.

Knowledge of Accounting Standards:
Familiarity with Australian Accounting Standards (AASB) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).

Analytical Skills:
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and translate it into actionable recommendations.

Communication Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to present financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.

Attention to Detail:
High level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial reporting and analysis.

Team Player:
Ability to work collaboratively across teams while also taking initiative to drive improvements independently.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in a fast-paced or high-growth environment.
• Experience in project accounting or construction industry accounting.
• Familiarity with tax planning, risk management, and corporate governance in Australia.
• Understanding of business intelligence and reporting tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
