About the role
We are now seeking a Chef de Partie with an Australian Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent and at least 3 years of experience in the same role.
The ideal candidate will have proven solid experience in the same role and be able to:
- Assist the head chef in the smooth running of the kitchen;
- Plan menus and estimating food requirements in conjunction with and under the supervision of the head chef
- Estimate costs and determine prices of the dishes
- Organize and order the required food suppliers as food ingredients
- Stock control
- Examining foodstuffs to ensure quality of the ingredients supplied
- Liaise with suppliers in order to ensure the best quality of the dishes
- Maintain stock of all ingredients in regular manner and storing food
- Prepare, cook and serve quality dishes in a efficient and consistent manner
- Supervise the presentation of the dishes
- Enforcing and maintaining hygiene procedures.?
- Ensure that all ingredients adhere to safety standards. ?
- Ensure that the quality of raw ingredients and cooked food are up to standard
- Liaise and respond to the owner
- Assist the head chef in train and supervise kitchen staff
