First Class CNC Tradesmen Machinist

The role of CNC Tradesmen machinist will be part of our operations team. Opportunity to work day or afternoon shift with overtime available.
In terms of more specific responsibilities, you will:
• Program, set up, and run CNC machine.
• Validate parts through completing necessary first article and in process inspections.
• Where required, generate set up sheets for future reference.
• Manage export controlled data & drawings
• Comply with Nupress Safety, Health and Environment procedures including risk assessments of activities undertaken.
Ideal applicants for this opportunity should demonstrate:
• Certificate III or equivalent qualification or 3 years work experience in lieu of qualification
• Minimum two years work experience required.
• Experience operating Mazak and/or DMG Mori with knowledge of G-Code is preferred. However, experience on other machines is applicable.
• CAD CAM capability, it is preferred that you have experience with Autodesk Inventor & Fusion 360, however demonstrated ability in NX or Mastercam will also be considered.
• Interest in defence work with high tolerance machining.
• Demonstrated ability to comply with rigorous quality management systems with attention to detail in regard to paperwork.
• Positive attitude to problem solve complex issues.
• Ability to work in both team environment and unsupervised.
International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) are applicable and as such, your nationality may be a factor in determining your suitability for this role.
