Elgendy is looking for a dedicated and passionate Airconditioning and Refrigeration Mechanic to join their team in Epping, Victoria.
Location: 9/5 Scanlon Drive, Epping VIC 3076
Salary: $73,150 - $80,000 + superannuation.
Hours: Full Time - 38 hours per week
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
Using drawings and specifications to establish job requirements and marking installation reference points accordingly;
Performing tasks such as Drilling holes, mounting brackets, cutting, bending and threading piping;
Installing and servicing refrigeration components, including compressors, motors, condensers, evaporators, switches, and gauges for various utilities;
Bolting, soldering, welding and brazing pipes to connect equipment and align with accuracy;
Pressurising systems with gas or fluid to detect and rectify leaks;
Testing refrigeration systems and assessing mechanisms;
Removing test gas and fluids using vacuum pumps and replenishing with refrigerant;
Inspecting and overhauling refrigeration systems;
Documenting causes of malfunctions and corresponding remedial actions;
Fine-tuning system controls and mechanisms and reassembling systems accordingly.
Essential Criteria:
Ability to adhere to all health and safety requirements.
Great time management.
Ability to take initiative where necessary.
Ability to both work independently and in teams depending on project requirements.
Qualifications:
Relevant tertiary trade qualifications or at least 1 year of relevant experience.
