Position Overview:
We are looking for an experienced and talented Advertising Specialist with a focus on SEM and Social paid ads to join our Creative and Performance team. As an Advertising Specialist, you will play a critical role in developing, implementing, and managing campaigns across different platforms (Google, Meta, TikTok, etc), consulting with clients, and driving results that align with our clients' goals and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Consulting with Clients: Engage with our clients to understand their advertising needs, objectives, and target audiences. Provide strategic advice on how to effectively reach their goals through tailored advertising campaigns.
- Creating and Implementing Advertising Strategies: Develop advertising tactics that align with client objectives. Analyse trends and consumer behaviour to guide campaign planning.
- Planning and Executing Campaigns: Design and structure advertising campaigns across the key social channels and/or paid search. Conduct keyword research, write compelling ad copy, and optimise campaigns to maximise ROI.
- Creative Development: Collaborate with the creative team to develop advertising concepts and materials, ensuring alignment with campaign objectives and brand guidelines.
- Media Buying and Placement: Negotiate and purchase advertising space across various media channels, ensuring effective reach to the target audience. Optimise ad placements and budgets to achieve the best results.
- Monitoring and Evaluating Campaigns: Analyse the performance of advertising campaigns, measure effectiveness, and provide recommendations for future campaigns. Regularly report on campaign performance and suggest improvements.
- Supporting the Team: Assist in reviewing accounts, giving feedback, and troubleshooting to help improve team performance. Work collaboratively with clients to workshop ideas and improve the client experience.
About You:
- Campaign Ownership: You’ve managed campaigns across major social channels and/or paid search, and your understanding of these platforms is sophisticated and nuanced. Minimum of 2 years developing, implementing, and managing social and PPC campaigns.
- Strategic Thinking: You ask the right questions and have a solid grasp of how businesses operate and generate revenue. You’re able to look beyond the immediate numbers, diving deep into campaign data to identify what will drive long-term, sustainable growth rather than just short-term wins.
- Pragmatic Approach: You avoid jargons like “cost caps” and “let the algorithm do its thing” when recommending strategies. Instead, you focus on actionable insights and data-driven decisions that genuinely move the needle. You are very comfortable interpreting campaign performance, documenting your analysis, providing insights and recommending/implementing optimisations.
- Data-driven and key communicator: You are comfortable compiling reports and are able to communicate results in a way that clients, who may not have a breadth of digital knowledge, can understand. You feel comfortable verbally communicating and explaining to a client anything you have provided in a written report. You love numbers but you love words just as much.
- Team Collaboration: You thrive in a team environment, willingly reviewing accounts, offering feedback, and troubleshooting issues to help elevate the performance of the broader team. You also feel confident working with creative team members (designers, editors etc.) to brief-in campaign assets.
- Scaling Expertise: You have experience in advertising, marketing, or a related field and can articulate the difference between managing a $10,000 per month budget versus a $300,000 per month budget. You understand that these require different approaches and can tailor your strategies accordingly.
- Client Relationship Lead: You enjoy being the key relationship manager for your clients. You’re confident in your communication, capable of workshopping ideas collaboratively, and deeply committed to delivering an outstanding client experience.
- Curious and Open Minded Attitude: You have an opinion about what could work and are open to broadening your understanding of marketing and campaign results based on individual client business dynamics and marketing objectives. You stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and best practices across the platforms in which you work.
- Technical Skills: You can set up tracking and conversion events aligned with business goals - CAPI and Enhanced Conversions included. You know your way around Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager.
