Disability Service Officer

Krisneil Pty Ltd are disability service provides based in Ramsgate Beach, NSW. Currently there is a vacancy for an experienced Disability Service office for full-time role.

Duties and responsibilities:

1. Interviewing clients to assess their level of difficulties and building rapport with them
2. Making assessment of clients' needs and creating the training and support programs accordingly
3. Preparing the report on the health progress of the client/patients
4. Maintaining the notes and reports for all other routine tasks
5. Monitoring the health program prepared for client/patients
6. Referring clients to other support groups that can provide additional help to clients
7. Liaising with other health care professionals and community groups
8. Helping people/clients especially young people who have emotional, social, and financial issues
9. Building supportive relationship with people with mental illness, their carers and families
10. Using person-cantered approach work with people with mental illness to maximise their independence and confidence to stay in community
11. Helping in preparation and submission for financial funding to support clients
12. Monitoring delinquents and people on bail as needed
13. Helping the Centre with the assessment of community needs in areas such as health, housing, employment, training etc.
14. Take responsibility to work in accordance with workplace health and safety guidelines and follow the Policies and Procedures of the organisation.

Qualifications:
• AQF Diploma or higher qualification, or at least 3 years relevant experience.
• Previous experience working in disability support, or a related field is preferred.
• A compassionate and empathetic approach to supporting individuals with disabilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with individuals, families, and colleagues.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing situations.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and proactive attitude.

Salary: $78000/year + Superannuation
