In this role, you will be responsible for managing the design, manufacturing, installation, and commissioning of HVAC projects while enhancing production processes in the factory for improved quality, efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Flexible work hours Task & Responsibilities Evaluate product quality and recommend necessary modifications to meet required standards. Inspect the production plant to ensure optimum performance is maintained. Provide technical support to the team at the duct manufacturing/production factory Analyze and plan production, labor allocation, utilization, project budgets, production schedules and costs to determine optimum work and equipment efficiencies. Review and assess drawings, and specifications to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Oversee on-site activities, including HVAC equipment installation, testing, and commissioning, to ensure project deliverables comply with the standards and specifications stipulated by the clients. Conduct site inspections and quality evaluations to promptly identify and resolve any issues or discrepancies. Effectively manage project timelines, resources, and budgets to ensure on-time and cost-efficient delivery. Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers to procure materials and equipment required for project execution. Offer technical advice to clients, and team members on air conditioning system and control system, resolving any engineering or design-related challenges as they arise. Maintain accurate project documentation, including drawings, specifications, and progress reports. Ensure high standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance are consistently maintained. Build and nurture relationships with key clients to secure repeat business and explore new opportunities. Collaborate with other engineers and project teams to deliver quality and timely outcomes for clients. Stay updated on industry knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining networks, and engaging in professional organizations Adhere to company and project policies, processes, and guidelines Qualification & Experience Relevant engineering qualifications At least 5 years’ experience in a similar role or industry. Member of Engineers Australia or potential to gain membership. The role is suitable for a qualified mechanical / production engineer who has significant HVAC plant, HVAC installation, testing & commissioning experience in building services projects. Good communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to manage personnel on site. Demonstrated site experience coordinating client & subcontractors in a commercial project environment. project management best practices/ commercial understanding of contract and project cost control management in the project. (e.g., understands productivity and measure, forecasting) Ability to drive project success with a focus on HSE, quality, schedule, and budget.
