The Opportunity
Our Lysaght business is looking for a Operations Technician to join the Operations based in MAckay. Made in Australia since 1921, Lysaght manufactures and markets steel building products that have helped shape the nation: from iconic corrugated roofing over Australian homes, to large commercial and industrial projects.
Being in an Operations Technician role with us, you’ll be working in a continuous production environment, operating machinery the produces roofing and wall cladding materials. Using 100% Australian made steel in the manufacturing process, you’ll be key to providing customers with what they need, when they need it.
This will be working Day Shift from 6am with the eligibility to work OT when possible.
What Will You Do?
As someone who is committed to the safety of their team and delivering on customer expectations you will be:
- assisting with the setting up, adjusting, and operating of machinery for producing roofing and other steel roofing products
- learning how to read and interpret detailed orders and drawings for production
- monitoring product quality, ensuring finished product meets expected requirements
- jumping in helping other departments when and where the need arises
