EyeHub Pty Ltd To help us launch some new, leading edge services in the region, we are seeking a Full Time Medical Technician with specific Ophthalmology experience and a minimum of 10 years’ frontline experience, to join our friendly, energetic and dynamic team on the beautiful Sunshine Coast. The role will pay a salary of between $70,000 to $100,000AUD per annum excluding Super Annuation contributions. The practice is in Buderim Queensland, with a satellite location in Gympie Queensland, and is focused on the treatment of medical and surgical problems concerning the eye. It employs the latest technology and diagnostics to provide leading-edge medical services to the region. The role is full time, with a minimum of 38 hours per week. The successful applicant must have some flexibility with hours and days. You would not be required to work Saturdays. Benefits We will provide Obligatory Super Annuation Contributions. Task & Responsibilities Essential Requirements: Be proficient in the programming, operation and ongoing management of Zeiss Visumax platform and MEL90 Excimer laser. Be fully conversant with Pachymetry and Perimetry (HUMPHERY) perimeters. Function in a highly organized, and time efficient manner at all times. Be able to problem solve in a surgical setting, meeting surgery timelines and carrying out required tasks. Assisting the Surgeon to create, define, refine and manage Refractive protocols, procedures and workflows.Ensure all specialist medical services are delivered in a smooth and efficient manner: Assist the Surgeon with clinical examination of Eyes, including patient eye pressures, Visual acuity, Corneal Topography and refraction. Additional Responsibilities. Pre-Cataract Assessment including calculating IOL Power and ordering of lenses. Preoperative Pentacam. Assist the Surgeon in refractive surgical procedures including PRESBYOND, SMILE, LASIK and PRK. Evaluate Strabismus / Squints. Act as a patient screener / advisor, providing guidance about the different types of refractive surgery available. Qualification & Experience Experience with cloud based patient management / practice management software or similar medical practice software. A well-developed knowledge base of Private billing for consultations and surgical procedures. Must have proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office. Demonstrated outstanding customer service and people skills. The ability to relate well to patients and communicate with health care professionals/external health facilities as needed. Demonstrate a high level of motivation and operate in cooperation with a surgical team with attention to detail. Demonstrate an ability to multi-task within a fast-paced working environment.
