Heavy Vehicle Technicians required for a permanent role in Kewdale/Hazelmere, paying up to $100,000 per year. Your new company A world leading manufacturer in over 100 countries are opening a new workshop and requires a permanent Heavy Vehicle Technician. Your new role In your new role as a Heavy vehicle Technician, you will be responsible for providing the highest level of service to both internal and external customers for service and repair. Your main duties will include diagnosing, servicing and repairing to maximise performance. Your day-to-day duties will include, use and apply knowledge and skills appropriately to carry out work allocated safely within the specified timeframe, perform mechanical diagnosis, repairs and service of vehicles and equipment. Breakdown Roster as required, promote and work within the Dealer Operating Standards (DOS), evaluate, develop and train staff to meet the demands of the business if required. Operate effectively in a team, contributing positively to team operations and working relationships. Assist to cultivate a strong team environment within the department, foster and promote a safe work environment maintaining safe work practices at all times. In addition, you will need to demonstrate that health and safety standards are met in the workplace, efficiency and output meet required standards, rework is within advised limits, quality of work meets required standards, effectiveness of relationships with external customers and feedback from internal customers, evidence of continual self-improvement through willingness to learn and develop in the role What you'll need to succeed To be considered for this incredible opportunity, you will need to be, as a minimum, a Certificate III qualified Heavy vehicle Technician. Preferred but not essential are, heavy vehicle industry experience, current HR, HC or MC licence, AAC02 - Refrigerant Handling Licence (Automotive Air Conditioning Licence), current forklift licence, First Aid Certificate (Breakdown Technician) Skills that will be essential to be successful in the role will include, maintaining a current State Driving Licence (The Company cannot guarantee continuity of employment if you are prevented from driving.) You are required to notify your Manager immediately if your licence is revoked or suspended. Understanding of current SHE requirements in a heavy vehicle workshop environment, ability to actively seek solutions to problems, be committed to excellence and generate a high quality of work, consistently report to work on time and work well with other employees to accomplish a common goal, able to effectively communicate and interact professionally with a variety of behavioural and personality types and with people of different cultures and backgrounds, effective time management skills and the ability to meet strict deadlines, computer skills with experience in a Microsoft Windows environment.
