Kimberley Hotel is seeking enthusiastic and experienced Handyperson.
Our venue consists of an 80 room hotel with a la carte restaurant, 3 bars (sports, cocktail & saloon) and bistro dining alongside a 100 Single person quarter camp and associated catering arrangement with a local resource company. Most of the up to 50 staff also live on-site and this is the only pub in the town of over 1,500 residents plus a seasonal tourist trade. Make no mistake, this is a very busy hotel and fun place to live, work, experience and explore the beautiful Kimberley region.
Key Responsibilities:
· repairing broken items such as windows, screens, fences
· cleaning gardens and removing rubbish
· loading, unloading and moving garden supplies and equipment
· raking, aerating, dethatching, fertilising and mowing lawns
· Troubleshooting and repairing malfunctions in mechanical system and other hotel equipment
· Coordinating with local health, safety, fire, and building inspections to ensure compliance with applicable codes and regulations
The following will be highly regarded:
Must be physically fit and enjoy the outdoor labour associated with this role.
Work well within a team environment or autonomously as required.
