Aerofloat (Australia) Pty Ltd are a fast-growing, innovative business, where you will be able to unlock and showcase your chemical engineering skills. Aerofloat specialises in the design, manufacture and installation of wastewater treatment solutions and is looking for a full-time chemical engineer to join its commissioning and aftersales team based in the Sutherland Shire.
This exciting multi-faceted role will include:
• Process commissioning and optimisation of newly built or upgraded wastewater treatment plants
• Maintenance, servicing and optimisation of existing wastewater treatment plants
• Assistance in client site installations (interstate travel will be required)
• Design and project management of plant upgrades
• Operational call outs to assist with maintenance of existing systems
• Participation in project design reviews
You will primarily be working with a team to assist in the chemical process commissioning and optimisation of wastewater treatment plants that have been installed by Aerofloat. The role will require regional and interstate travel to various sites. This team is also responsible for the ongoing maintenance, servicing, and optimisation of the plants as well as plant upgrades. If you have a chemical engineering degree and/or experience in process commissioning work and are looking to further develop your skills in a niche industry, this is the role for you. Previous experience in the wastewater industry is essential. The successful applicant must be ready to learn, work well in a team, have a positive attitude and great communication skills.
Required Qualifications / Experience
• 2 years’ work experience preferably in chemical engineering role
• University qualified – preferably chemical engineering degree
• Manual Drivers Licence is essential
• Hands on trade type skills and experience are essential
• Experience in Autocad (2D) preferable
• Control systems experience and basic PLC programming knowledge
• Process engineering design experience preferable
• Experience of commissioning wastewater treatment plants and chemical analysis testing experience desirable
• Experience in monitoring, operating and maintaining treatment plants as well as diagnosing plant issues
• Project management and design experience – particular experience around product selection preferred
• Proficient in MS Office is required
