Your new role
Review and prepare invoices for processing.
Guide to staff on accounts payable procedures, ensuring accuracy in invoices and payment requests.
Forward invoices for authorisation and costing details, and monitor their return for timely payment.
Follow up on outstanding accounts with responsible officers as indicated by suppliers.
Enter invoice details into the system, scan, and process them through to the payment stage.
Raise and distribute payments, ensuring timely receipt by creditors, and process electronic transfers to supplier bank accounts, distributing remittance advice as needed.
Generate reports and complete reconciliations as requested by the Head of Finance.
Maintain a monthly ledger/schedule for various financial adjustments.
Reconcile rental payments and ledgers/schedules to leasing agreements biannually.
Address and respond to customer/creditor enquiries, following up on outstanding items with responsible officers.
Process invoice payments in multiple currencies weekly.
Ensure timely billing statements within trading terms.
Assist the Head of Finance and Management Accountants with various ad-hoc assignments.
What you'll need to succeed
Advantageous to have previous experience in administration or accounts payable experience.
AP21 experience desired is not essential.
Comfortable commuting to Alexandria.
Retail experience desired is not essential.
