The Bureau is seeking an electronics professional to join the team at the Kennaook / Cape Grim Baseline Air Pollution Station (KCGBAPS) and apply their technical expertise to assist in the maintenance and development of KCGBAPS operations. This Technical Officer position, within the Observing Systems and Operations (OSO) Program, is unique in its global reach. KCGBAPS is a critical component of Australia's contribution to the Global Atmospheric Watch (GAW) Network. Data collected at this site underpins Australia's obligations under the Paris Agreement, other important international environmental conventions and to the World Meteorological Organisation (WMO). Therefore, the successful applicant will directly contribute to the leading edge of atmospheric composition measurement. The role involves working closely with scientists from CSIRO, ANSTO and several collaborating universities as well as station technical officers.
